It appears as if all of her siblings except possibly Michael, who died at nineteen, came to America. There is a record of her coming to Ellis Island on the ship Cameronia, on April 24, 1893 at the age of eleven. Why and with whom she came we do not have any information. She must have returned to Ireland at some point and then came back to Boston on the Laurentian in October 1907 at the age of twenty five. It was told that she and James Donagher (Papa Jim) knew each other in Ireland.

There is a record of her mother, Mary McIntyre, coming to America through Ellis Island on April 13, 1910 with four children: Agnes, Bridget (Theresa), Alice, and Joseph.

She was forty five years old and widowed at the time and on the ship manifest indicated she was visiting her daughter,"Mrs. Donahue, 47 Hall Street, Jamaica Plain". So it appears after they married James and Mary Ann lived at 47 Hall Street.
